Dorel SURBECK (Paris)

Dorel Surbeck, est danseur de claquettes, directeur artistique et chorégraphe suisse.

Il découvre les claquettes à cinq ans et remporte son premier titre mondial à quatorze ans. Il décroche au total 15 titres de Champion du monde. Avec son frère Costel, il crée en 2004 Têtes À Clac, puis Shoebiz (2009) et Clap! (2012), qui cumulent plus de 350 représentations en Europe. Il poursuit sa carrière internationale avec Tap Factory, en Europe et en Amérique du Nord et du Sud, avant de rejoindre 42nd Street au Théâtre du Châtelet en 2016, puis d’enchaîner avec Josette à Dubaï et Broadway Rhythm en France.

Depuis 2018, Dorel signe les chorégraphies claquettes de Mickey et le Magicien à Disneyland Paris. En 2024, il crée avec Costel FUSION, melant claquettes et nouvelles technologies.

En 2026, ils revisitent ensemble Le Lac des Cygnes, accompagné par un orchestre philharmonique et réunissant 28 danseurs, et créent Lyrica avec la soprano Mathilde Lemaire, un spectacle qui fait dialoguer le chant lyrique et les claquettes.

Parallèlement à sa carrière scénique, Dorel transmet son art lors de festivals en France et en Europe, ainsi que dans le cadre de formations professionnelles, notamment au Cours Florent à Paris.

Dorel SURBECK (Paris)

Dorel Surbeck is a Swiss tap dancer, artistic director, and choreographer.

He discovered tap dancing at the age of five and won his first world title at fourteen. He has a total of 15 World Championship titles. With his brother Costel, he created Têtes À Clac in 2004, followed by Shoebiz (2009) and Clap! (2012), which have performed over 350 times in Europe. He continued his international career with Tap Factory, touring Europe and North and South America, before joining 42nd Street at the Theatre du Châtelet in 2016, and then Josette in Dubai and Broadway Rhythm in France.

Since 2018, Dorel has been choreographing the tap dances for Mickey and the Magician at Disneyland Paris. In 2024, he and Costel created FUSION, blending tap dance with new technologies.

In 2026, they revisited Swan Lake together, accompanied by a philharmonic orchestra and featuring 28 dancers, and created Lyrica with soprano Mathilde Lemaire, a show that creates a dialogue between operatic singing and tap dancing.

Alongside his stage career, Dorel transmits his art at festivals in France and Europe, as well as in professional training courses, notably at the Cours Florent in Paris.
